ODM MPs say Ruto is too bitter, too angry to lead Kenya

A section of ODM MPs have described Deputy President William Ruto as a bitter and angry man who is not fit to lead Kenya.

Led by Sun East MP Junet Mohamed, the MPs have claimed that Ruto feels that Kenyans and President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Leader Raila Odinga owe him the presidency.

“Fellow Kenyans for some time now we have been telling you that William Ruto is too bitter, too angry and too entitled to lead the country,” said Junet.

Junet further stated that Ruto’s narrative of being owed a debt is dangerous and might destroy the country.

“We have consistently warned you that Ruto is a violent man who thrives in creating division between communities and ethnic groups. What happened in Murang’a yesterday is a new confirmation that Ruto believes that it is either him or nothing,” said Junet.

Two people yesterday lost their lives in Murang’a county after two groups clashed ahead of Ruto’s visit in the area.

IG Hillary Mutyambai has since ordered the arrest of two MPs, Alice Wahome and Ndindi Nyoro who have been linked to the violence.

Officials of two bus companies that allegedly ferried goons to Murang’a have also been summoned by NTSA.
