Voting in the ODM nominations in Taita Taveta was this morning thrown into disarray following delays in the delivery of ballot boxes and arrival of clerks from Mwatate.

The county’s ODM election coordinator, Anderson Mwaloma, said the delay had been caused by a standoff between Governor John Mruttu and his opponent Thomas Mwadeghu.

Two rival groups allied to the two contestants clashed yesterday after Governor Mruttu alleged that Mwadeghu had planned to rig him out.

And Voting was temporarily stopped at Nyamira polling station leaving voters confused on whether to use the IEBC or ODM party register.

Primaries for Nakuru Town West parliamentary seat were postponed due to anomalies in the ballot papers.
The names of Eric Ogada and Jacob Luka were missing in the voting materials that were dispatched to various polling centres Tuesday morning.
