Orange democratic Movement has disowned Raila Odionga’s aide Dr. Noah Akala after allegations of attempting to extort governors emerged.
Akala and five others are accused of posing as Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission officials investigating corruption cases against Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga and Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi and later on demanding 30 Million Shillings.
Speaking to Ghetto radio ODM director Oduor Ong’wen disowned the individuals saying those implicated should carry their own cross.
According to Ong’wen the two governors have made official complains to the EACC and investtigations are underway.
Akala and the other five were arrested in Kileleshwa on Wednesday by EACC detectives and later questioned several hours.
It is alleged that Akala and the group tried to extort 15 million shillings each from the two governors using EACC corruption files.
