ODM Party’s Double Speak  On Sonko’s Impeachment, Imwatok Frozen

Makongeni Member of County Assembly Peter Imwatok  has survived being kicked out of his position as minority whip, this is  after an attempted coup by ODM political bigwigs who were not happy with his firm stand on impeachment.

Our reliable source tells us that Imwatok after learning about the plan to kick him out, rushed to the speaker’s office where the two including nominated senator Beatrice Kwamboka reached ODM boss Raila Odinga for help.

Elachi is then reported to have called, Raila who expressed fury saying he called Imwatok two times  urging him to ‘‘go slow’’ with  the motion but he never heeded to it.

‘‘Yes things were thick they called twice asking him not to kick out Imwatok but he was furious  despite Elachi’s trials. They were then forced to reach Junnet Mohammed who cooled down baba,’’ the source revealed.

That night ODM Nairobi County  Chairman George Aladwa  who is governor Sonko’s right hand man was in Karen  With Raila where he accused the firebrand MCA of insubordination… he went ahead and told his supporters on Facebook that there were looming changes at the assembly of Nairobi.

‘‘Changes in the Nairobi County Assembly Leadership Loading…MY GOD IS ABLE SHALLOM,’’ Aladwa wrote.

Raila however, agreed to meet Imwatok and canceled new leadership line-up drafted by ODM honchos.

Imwatok confirmed meeting with Raila yesterday over the matter but did not reveal much.

‘‘There were issues and ofcourse  i met baba!’’ Imwatok said.

Those accused of pushing Imwatok ouster  include George Aladwa , Kennedy Obuya of Imara Daima,Kennedy Oyugi of Highrise and nominated MCA  Cathrine Akinyi.
