Malindi Member of parliament Aisha Jumwa has been heckled by her own electorates over her move to declare support to deputy president William Ruto 2022 presidential ambitions.
In a video clip circulating in social media Jumwa is seen pleading with the crowd to calm down but to no success.
Jumwa has publicly indicated that her support to Ruto is unshakable and she will not be cowed by ODM bigwigs.
She recently missed ODM party leader Raila Odingas’ strategy meeting at the coast chaired by Ali Hassan Joho and governor Kingi .
Last week minority Chief Whip Junnet Mohammed wrote to National Assembly Speaker Justine Muturi informing him the intensions of ODM Party to withdraw Jumwas’ name from powerful Parliamentary Service Commission.
Speaking to Ghetto Radio News Yesterday ODM party director Oduor Ong’wen made it clear that soon the party will insitute discplinary actions against those who are fuelling Rutos’ presidential ambitions.
‘We are aware some our members have taken adavantage of handshake to advance their political interests ,soon the party will use its structures to deal with those individuals,’’ added Ong’wen.
About ten ODM mps in the coast region have declared their support to Rutos’ presidential bid.
