ODM Rolls Out Member Registration Drive


With every political camp jostling for a bigger chunk in the 2022 power sharing pie,the Orange Demonstratic Movement party has in the recent past rolled out a member registration drive both at national and grassroots level to have new members registered to a political party considered to be mainstream.

Under the recently coined Azmio LA umoja,ODM party officials of all cadres have been traversing the country to muscle support to ensure that they record an upsurge in terms of membership that will be will play a significant role in winning forthcoming election.

Last Saturday Ghetto Radio Managing Director who doubles up as morning show presenter Julius Owino alias MajiMaji and also a life member of ODM party convened a meeting with student leaders of Laikipia University in Laikipia County to discuss matters pertaining youths economic independence and their voices in national political conversation prior to Raila Odinga’ visit on Sunday on what could be termed as vote hunt.

“The time to be inspectors is over,we must speak and our voices must be heard under the principle of universal suffrage, youth must take the opportunity and register as bon fide party members and ultimately vote in the government that we are going to roll out in coming days” MajiMaji said.

Former Premier Raila Odinga on his side urged youths to come in the their number and register as ODM party members as litmus test and a symbolic projection of winning forthcoming 2022 general poll.

Under the prevailing economic hardship attributable to Covid-19 pandemic the ODM has lifted the registration fee that was previously imposed as this will ensure that every eligible voter not only have democratic rights but also equal opportunity to join ODM party.

In compliance with the ministry of health regulations to curb spread of Covid-19,the party has resorted to digital registration as this ensures no milling around around registration centers
