Kenyan artist Okello Max has hopped on the open verse challenge for the song dubbed “People (Check On Me)” originally performed by Cameroonian artist, Libianca, and it is safe to say that for sure he has not disappointed.

The Sol Generation signee’s  vocals are top notch as he blends his verse with English, Swahili and the Luo dialect.

“Had to board this train. We all have our demons, we all have our stories, be your brothers keeper. Thank you @iamlibiancafor this amazing magic. Hope you will love this.” He captioned the video on Twitter.

Fans flocked his comment section, most mentioning how he killed the verse, since he really did. Here are some of the comments:

Tali Babe: Your voice makes us forget tunateseka as a nation. Good morning Okello Max! We love you.

Cyrus Waithaka:   Eish… this is Pro Max level. Thanks for the subtitles on the bits that had luo.

Nyandusi David:  GOAT this one

People by Libianca Lyrics Meaning

“People”, written by Libianca and her team, is a song released on the 5th of December 2022. It’s a track with an emotional rollercoaster.

The song is showing emotional pain with feelings of loneliness, neglect and betrayal.

She is seeking support as she navigates her difficult emotions. Libianca wants to convey a sense of longing for support from others while also expressing the challenges and difficulties that she is facing.

In the first verse, Libianca is communicating frustration saying that she feels neglected by someone they care about.

The second verse suggests that the speaker is feeling paranoid and is attempting to hide her emotions or concerns by putting on a false appearance, of happiness.

Libianca is addressing God as a “holy father” and asks for His guidance in the third verse of “People”.

The music video was released two weeks ago and has so far garnered 9.2 million views and is #14 on trending for music on YouTube.
