Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala has won 100 meters race at the 4th edition of Absa KipKeino Classic at the Moi International Stadium.
Omanyala Clocked 9.84 seconds ahead of Olympics 200m silver medalist Kenneth Bednarek finished second in 9.98 as another American, Marvin Bracy came third in 10.03.
The victory saw Omanyala finally claim the world lead time to officially hit the World Championships qualifying entry standard of 10.00 seconds.
This is the third time Omanyala has won the Kipkeino Classic and in the process he claimed the world lead time to officially hit the World Championships qualifying entry standard of 10.00 seconds.
The World Athletics Championships are scheduled for August 19 to 27 in Budapest, Hungary.
President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga were in attendance.
