Gor Mahia fans have expressed their outrage after the Kenya Premier League Champions terminated the contract of their head Coach Frank Nuttal.

Nuttall who guided K’Ogalo to the 2015 Premier League title unbeaten, said, that he decided to call it quits after the club demanded he takes a 50 percent pay cut.

In a letter dated January 4, 2016, Nuttall explained that his contract indicated that his salary would be increased by 10 percent from January 1, 2016 but instead the club’s executive committee proposed to cut his salary by 50%.

According to the club former Talanta Coach Nam will take charge of the team when they take on Bandari on Saturday in the GoTv Super Cup .

Ironically the developments come after the team announced sponsorship worth more than Ksh 60 million from betting firm Sportpesa.

Despite defending their KPL title Kogalo will represent the Country in the CAF Champions League where Gor are scheduled to host Madagascans, CNaPS in the first-leg of the preliminary round.

Going through some of the posts on twitter one fan called on the fans to disrupt the Saturday match “the sad truth is if you let Nam to lead the team in Mombasa over the weekend , the the office will have won the battle and that is how you will forget about Nuttal..Action ni sasa..No Nuttal , No other Coach , No Mtach,” the fan lamented.

Wa Wambura “I think for once Gor Mahia fans have a valid reason to stone somebody…I hope they throw the stones in the right direction.”

Gor Mahia fire Nuttall just when they get a 5 year deal with SportPesa. Why? Cause he allegedly refused a pay cut. Is this greed?

Edgar Oduol. ‏@AdvocateEdgar said “it’s only at Gor Mahia where a Manager is sacked for performing.”

Some called for the intervention of the club Patron former Prime Minister Raila Odinga
“Jakom MUST announce that nuttal iz the coach,,if not!!!!!!!wait and see the true colour of gor fun,”one cried out .
