Outrage Over Sossion’s Proposal To Close Bridge International Schools

bridge-interThe proposal by KNUT  to have Bridge International schools closed has elicited sharp reactions from Kenyans and other stakeholders.

A section of Kenyans say the schools have managed to offer education to the less fortunate millions of Kenyans across the country.

Yesterday a report launched by KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion proposed that Bridge International academies be closed for flouting quality standards.

While releasing the Bridge International academies report 2016 at the Kenya Institutte of curriculum Development KICD this morning the union accused the academies of failing to follow set guidelines.

According to the report, upto 71% of teachers were found to be unqualified in the said academies as the said teachers are only trained for two weeks.

Secretary General Wilson Sossion urgued that despite the schools receiving support from top philantropists like microsoft founder Bill Gates and Facebooks Mark Zuckerberg it still charges parents more than a thousand shillings.

Education Cabinet secretary Fred Matiangi congaratulated the union for the report promising  to take action soon saying  discussions are underway between the Bridge international acadamies and the Governement
