Over 200 Units Of Government’s Affordable Housing Project Ready For Occupation
Over 200 units of the government’s affordable housing project are ready for occupation.
The 228 units were handed over to the Public Works Principal Secretary Gordon Kihalangwa by the contractor China State Corporation.
Kihalangwa in turn handed over the project to Housing and Urban Development PS Charles Hinga who stated that the houses will be distributed using an automated system to ensure transparency.
The Ngara Affordable Housing project currently has over 1000 house units that are still under construction.
Hinga says the other units will be completed in June and December this year.
The PS further stated that the government will revive the Soweto B project in Kibra Constituency and also ensure that the right people benefit from the project.
Over 500,000 houses are set to be constructed in different counties by the government under the affordable housing project as part of the implementation of the Big Four Agenda.
