Over 300 Kibra Learners Forced To Stay At Home After Fire Razes Down Classes

Over 323 pupils at Lindi Friends Primary School in Kibra have currently been forced to stay at home. This is after a huge fire turned their classrooms into ashes at around 6:30 pm on Thursday.

Speaking to Ghetto Radio, Moris Aluse the school’s Head Teacher stated that the fire razed down at least eight classes including two kindergarten classes.

Only two classes belonging to Grade six and eight were spared the wrath of the fire.

“I am Moris Aluse school head teacher at Lindi Friends Primary School, It was at 6:30 PM yesterday when I received a call informing me that the school is burning. So I rushed here only to find classes ablaze including the administration office,” said Aluse.

Aluse says that they are yet to establish the cause of the inferno.

“To date we are still clueless about the cause of the fire. We had not established any means to establish the cause of fire before but this time round after renovation, we will establish a perimeter wall, “says Aluse.

Nairobi fire fighter apparently completely failed to show up.

The school head assured parents and pupils that they are going to resume learning in the next one week.

He also called on his fellow school head teachers to establish favourable means that can fight disasters.
