Over 35 Students Affected By Ofafa Jericho Fire

Fire last night razed down a dormitory at Ofafa Jericho High school in Nairobi.

The fire which started at around 8:30 pm affected about 35 students from the school.

The school’s principal Mathew Limge stated that the who students inhaled smoke from the mattresses were treated at the Metropolitan Hospital in Buruburu.

“All the students are in stable condition and will soon be discharged, ” he said.


Nairobi Metropolitan Hospital CEO Dr. Kanyenje Gakombe CEO stated that no student received physical burns.

“We received 35 boys at Metropolitan hospital. All the boys are safe and are receiving medical attention They are in stable condition,” he said.

According to Gakombe, some students were moved to MP Shah, Nairobi Women’s hospital and Avenue Hospital.
