Owner Of Collapsed Kariobangi Building Did Not Have Title Deed
Owner of the collapsed five storey building in Kariobangi did not have title deed and the occupational certificate from the County government of Nairobi.
Nairobi County Planning Executive Christopher Khaemba says the building which collapsed today morning had 54 rooms and had been earmarked for demolition by the county government.
According to Khaemba, tenants in the building were evacuated last evening by county officials hence no casualties.
He has also stated that demolitions of all substandard buildings will continue this week, urging all building owners to submit their ownership for approval.
