More Patients Die As Doctors’s Strike Enters Day Three
An estimated number of 19 patients have so far died following the ongoing doctors’ strike that entered its second day today.
Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists’ Union Secretary-General Ouma Oluga has however maintained that the strike will continue until their demands are met.
The doctors are pushing for promotions, better pay and a review of job groups under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement signed in 2013 say Kenyans are entitled to quality and adequately paid doctors
The strike has paralysed health services in public hospitals across the country with suffering patients asking president Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene.
