Juventus midfielder and world cup winner Paul Pogba has been slapped with a four year ban by Italy’s national anti-doping tribunal (TNA).

This is after he tested positive for doping.

This move comes following a request from the anti-doping prosecutor’s office, with the ban aligning with the standard length under the World Anti-Doping Code set by WADA.

The 30 year old footballer had been suspended in 2023 after traces of testosterone metabolites were detected in his system.

The positive test came to light after a game against Udinese on August 20, prompting immediate action from authorities.

Pogba now faces an uphill battle to clear his name in the sport with Indications that he would appeal the decision.

Earlier on Pogbas’s agent Rafaela Pimenta commented on the incident.
