Kenyan’s high rate of unemployment manifested yet again at as tens of thousands braced early morning cold to get an opportunity to work with Export Processing Zone,a textile industry based in Athi River town.
The scenario could clearly challenge the government’s report that the employment rate stands at 77.4 per cent.
What was witnessed at Athi River based textile has raised the eyebrows of many people.
The company had announced mass recruitment of 15-25 workers,however at the entrance of industry hundreds of Kenyans turned up for the opportunity having hopes that they will get a chance to work with
This is so shocking, and it tells us as a country we are still behind when it comes to creation of employment to our desperate youths and also adults.
