Police appeal for public’s help in arresting Mugo Wa Wairimu

The search for quack doctor Mugo Wairimu who was recently filmed in a video by NTV  humiliating and sexually abusing his patients  continues.

Police are now asking members of the public to also come out and help with any information that may lead to  his arrest.

Two college students who worked at a Kayole clinic allegedly owned by fake doctor Mugo wa Wairimu have been arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi.

The two, Ms Risper Auma Ogony and Mr Victor Gathiru Kamunya, were on Thursday charged with seven counts, among them operating a clinic without a licence.

Today the health committee Nairobi city county also questioned how Mugo have been operating without  licence and routine  surveillance by health officials at Cityhall without being noticed.

According to Warutere the committeee will proceed with immediate effect investigate and come up with a report over the matter saying there are more lapses within Nairobi  county’s health docket.

‘’We have county health officials who go around  monitoring health facilities both public and private just to examine their compliance ,how can Mugo defile,harass, mistreat patients and even procure illegal abortions without being held,’’ He  asked

He further pointed major loopholes within health sector some being lack of substansive county executive health,chief officer health and director of health.

‘‘The  CEC,Chief Officer and Director all of them are acting,and they can not make any strong decision in this sector that alone is a problem and the governor  should address it immediately.’’ Warutere added.

County government of Nairobi has not issued any official statement over the matter, even after two of his officials were a mentioned in the video clip aired by NTV.
