Police officers have blocked Kibera’s Kamukunji grounds after NASA officials announced that they will hold their curtain raiser rally on the grounds.

NASA had moved its rally to Kibera after police officers denied them access to the Shauri Moyo grounds in Kamukunji constituency.

Earlier on today, drama unfolded at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Thursday after police blocked a section of NASA leaders from making a press address at the airport.

The NASA politicians at the airport included Siaya Senator James Orengo, former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama, Woman Representative Gladys Wanga and former Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale.

Police on Wednesday declared JKIA out of bounds to opposition supporters who were planning to match to the airport on Friday to welcome NASA leader Raila Odinga back to the country.

Odinga will be flying back after a one-week trip to the United States and United Kingdom.
