Police Launch Manhunt For Teacher Found With form Four Student In bed

Police in Kakamega are hunting for a mathematics teacher at a girls secondary school in Navakholo, Kakamega County who is on a run after he was caught in bed with a 19 year-old form four student.

Enoch Osero is reported to have escaped through a window at the back of his house on Tuesday morning after his fellow teachers and watchman stormed his house.

According to the report by the Director of Criminal Investigations, the incident occurred after that student in the unnamed school went missing for two weeks, when she was sent home to collect school fees.

“The student is reported not to have reached home, since the mischievous teacher sneaked her to his house. He is said to have promised private remedial tuition to the candidate set to sit the forthcoming National examination to cover the missed classes,” reads a statement by the DCI.

The statement further states that the fellow teachers got wind of Osero’s escapades and stormed his house in the wee hours of the morning forcing him to flee.

“The teachers who were chanting war cries baying for their colleague’s blood accused him for bringing the name of the noble teaching profession into disrepute,” further reads the report.

The school board of management had convened a morning meeting to determine the fate of Osero who was yet to be confirmed as permanent employee.

The student was later escorted to Navakholo Medical hospital for necessary tests.
