Police Offer Ksh. 60 Million Reward For Terrorists Who Escaped From Kamiti Maximum Prison


The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has offered a Ksh. 60 Million reward for three terror suspects who escaped from kamiti Maximum Prison on Monday Morning.

The three, Musharaf Abdalla, Mohamed Ali and Joseph Juma Odhiambo escaped from the prison at around 1 am.

The DCI says that it is not clear how the three made their way out of the Kamiti Prison.

“PRISON BREAK! A reward of Sh60 Million will be offered to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the following three terror suspects, who escaped from Kamiti Maximum Security Prison today at 1am,” said the DCI.

Abdalla was arrested on September 30, 2012, over failed attempt to conduct a terrorist attack targeting parliament buildings.

 He was charged with possession of explosives and firearms.

Abikar was arrested for allegations of being involved in the April 2, 2015, Garissa terror attack.

Odhiambo who is from Lukoye, Kakamega County was arrested on November 20, 2019 while attempting to enlist with the Al Shabaab terror group in Somalia.
