Police officers from Capital Hill Police Station have extended a helping hand to Kibra residents by donating food stuffs.
The donations that were organized by the OCS Evelyne Kipruto will benefit about 100 families.
According to the Kibra Sub County DCC who presided over the event, the foodstuffs will help families that have been affected by the pandemic.
He further thanked the officers and urged well wishers and other police officers to follow the example to help the less privileged.
“I Thank the police officers for this project. They have looked for this food from well wishers and their friends. There are so many people hurting in kibra because of Covid-19,” said the DCC.
A section of the beneficiaries hailed the project saying most of them had lost their jobs and the donations will go a long way in cushioning them.
