Police are on the trail of dancehall star Popcaan after his altercation with law enforcers over the weekend at a motorcycle stunting event. Reliable sources indicate that the event at St. Andrew turned ugly when cops arrived drawing guns.
In videos doing rounds on social media, several bikers are captured being confronted by cops as some flee the scene.
Popcaan who was riding a three-wheeler and donning a yellow outfit is seen confronting the police with an altercation ensuing.
However, several men get between Popcaan and the police as things get out of hand. It’s at this point that guns are drawn to quell the tension.

It’s also not clear whether shots were fired.

Possible Charges
According to law enforcers, investigations have already been launched to determine if any charges will be filed against the singer.
“We’re investigating the matter and will provide and will provide further update to the media, There could be charges filed on a number of front but I cant give any further details until our investigation has been concluded” read a statement from the police.
The police further added that the motorcycle show came up an announced obstructing traffic in the area that’s why they stepped in to restore sanity.
Still, there are no reports of anyone being hurt at the event. However, that doesn’t stop the police from filing charges later.

In December last year, law enforcers stormed Popcaan’s Unruly Fest in St. Thomas shutting it down prematurely. Again, in February police shut down Protoje’s ‘Lost In Time Festival’ during Popcaan’s set leaving the dancehall superstar in bewilderment.
