Police Recover Bhang Worth Ksh. 500,00 At A House

Police officers have impounded six sacks of bhang with a street value of Ksh. 500,000 at a house in Kiganjo, Kiambu, County.

The night operation saw the officers raid a two bedroomed house belonging to a man known as Samuel alias Sammy Boy.

“An intelligence-led operation conducted in Kiganjo, Kiambu County led to impounding of six sacks and 53 polythene packages of drug suspected to be bhang,” said the police.

“The dusk operation directed to a house linked to a suspect identified as Samuel alias Sammy Boy of Ucekeine Mundoro area where the haul of bhang with an estimated street value of Ksh. 500,000 was retrieved from the suspect’s two bedroom house,” the statement further read.

Police have however launched a man hunt on the suspect, who narrowly escaped police dragnet.

“The National Police Service remains focused in the war against drug and substance abuse and urges the public to support the gains through sensitization campaigns and sharing of prompt information.”
