Police Recover Military Gear From A Rental House


Police have recovered military tactical gear from a house in Oangani, Nakuru County.

The recovered items include two military cap peaks, three jungle shirts, one pair of jungle trouser, two jungle carrier bags, one webbing (58) straps and four pouch straps.

Other items are one ground sheet, four ground sheet carriers and side pouches.

The operation to recover the gear was led by County Commander Mr. Peter Mwazo who acted following a tip off by the members of the public.

 “Following information passed in confidence to the local administration, police officers led by the area County Commander Mr. Peter Mwanzo have earlier today recovered military tactical gear from a house in Pangani area, Nakuru County,” reads a statement from the National Police Service.

The recovery comes just days after security agencies launched a crackdown on unlawful gangs that have been terrorizing residents in the area.

“Coming fast on a backdrop of heightened security activities following a spate of criminality by gangs in the city, security officers flanked by the sub-county security committee witnessed the display of an assortment of gears by our crime scene personnel,” the statement further reads.

The scene was processed by police officers in the presence of a team of millitary police officers from KDF Lanet.

Police have in the meantime launched Investigations into the haul.
