Kilimani police officers in Nairobi yesterday (on Tuesday) rescued six children after being found loitering along Ngong road and around Yaya center.

The Children who were supposed to be in school were allegedly found begging for money and engaging in illicit activities.

According to Humphrey Lando, the Children’s Officer in Kibra, the children were discovered loitering and intimidating drivers, seeking monetary handouts.

Disturbingly, it was revealed that the rescued children were also involved in substance abuse, with reports suggesting they were smoking bang and using other drugs.

It was reported that the children had even harassed a judge of the court who happened to be traveling along Ngong Road at the time.

The majority of the children were aged between 8 to 15 years and should have been in school during the time of their rescue.
