Joyce Syombua, the woman whose body was found buried in a shallow grave alongside her two children died of head injury.

A pathology examination conducted today by Dr. Johansen Oduor has also revealed that her two children were strangled.

Syombua and her two children are suspected to have been killed by Major Peter Mugure, Syombua’s estranged husband.

Syombua went missing on Saturday of 26th October, just a day after she had travelled to Nanyuki to take her children to their father who wanted to host a birthday party for the older daughter.

Her mother says she tried several times to reach her on Saturday and Sunday to no success prompting her to report the matter to the Kayole Police Station.

Investigations led the police to Mugure who was arrested and later directed the police to a shallow grave he had buried the three.
