Eight lives have been lost following a fire outbreak in Makina village in Kibera, Nairobi County.
The devastating fire ripped through Kibera’s Makina area in the early hours of Saturday morning, leaving more than 20 others injured.
According to multiple reports, the deceased are a pregnant woman and four members of one family.
A section of the residents have blamed the county fire fighters for the late arrival on the scene as residents struggled to put off the inferno.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
