As two factions Kenya Kwanza and Azimio la prepares for talks  Azimio leader Raila Odinga has threatened to take to the street one more time should the government fail to negotiate with his team within this month.

Raila slammed President Ruto for what he says disrespecting opposition by continued public spat over dialogue guidelines.He further reiterated that the opposition is not interested in coalition government.

“It is not about Nusu mkate what we are insisting on is that our people must get equal opportunity in state jobs we are paying taxes .We will talk to those people. But we have to engage and finish the process within 30 days. If we cannot find a solution we will issue fresh directions. We have forwarded a strong team led by Kalonzo Musyoka to speak to them,we have offered them another chance at the talks and we want to see if they will take them seriously this time.”

“Anasema kila siku ati Raila anataka nusu mkate Mimi ama Azimio haitaki nusu mkate kwa hii serikali lakini apana Tisha sisi,wewe ndio ulikua kwenye serikali Moja na Uhuru, alikuwa na askari kulinda yeye na kukula mshahara,atuambie alifanya nini.” He said.

The President Condition

Meanwhile president William Ruto has reiterated that cost of living and “Nusu Mkate” government will not form  part of the talks.He accused the opposition for using back door to get into the government.

“They did not manage us before, how will they do it then now? I told you there is no deep state that I don’t know. I told you they could not steal my votes. Now you think now they can confuse us so that they get into government? Whose government?” Ruto stated.

The Committee Composition

The Azimio’s delegation is led by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka with Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi, former Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa, Nyamira Senator Okong’o Omogeni and Malindi MP Amina Mnyanzi as the other members.The Kenya Kwanza delegation comprises of National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah, Aaron Cheruiyot (Senate Majority Leader), Embu Governor Cecile Mbarire, Hassan Omar ( EALA MP) and Bungoma Woman rep Catherine Wambilinga.
