President Uhuru Kenyatta has ordered the completion of Dandora stadium as Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission continues with corruption investigations marring the project.
According to Uhuru the investigations should not be used as a tool to stop wananchi from enjoying the facility that is almost finished.
Dandora was to cost Ksh. 250 million but it was later revealed that the cost was inflated to Ksh. 350 Million.
“Let the construction continue because those doing the investigations are also on and culprits will be brought to book… but people should not be stopped from enjoying the facility,” Uhuru said.
Dandora 4 MCA Francis Otieno Ngesa has applauded the move saying that many youths were employed in the facility and it’s completion will boost many social events in the area.
“We must thank the president for that, it is now upon the contractor to resume as fast as possible so that our residents can start enjoying this noble facility,” he added.
