President Uhuru Slaps Kenya 7’s Rugby Team With A 10 Million Reward For Their Singapore Victory
Despite disappointing Kenyans by turning down their plea to have a National holiday to celebrate our Rugby champions,President Uhuru chose to reward the champions instead-and not Kenyans.
So after Sonko and his rescue team treated the Kenya 7’s rugby team to an exceptional heroic home welcoming reception, the team will be now smiling their way to the bank after the State’s chief man,President Uhuru rewarded the team with a whole whooping 10 Million Kshs for making Kenya proud at the just recently ended Singapore 7’s when our team carried the cup home beating Fiji and South Africa by way too far.
The president made the statement on his official Facebook page after hosting the team at State House.
” Greatly honored to fete our Shujaas the Kenya Sevens team at State House. The team has done Kenya proud and I’m happy to be able to congratulate them in person. Thank you for carrying the day and leading our country to Glory. I have also announced a Sh.10 million government token of appreciation to the team for their exemplary performance. God bless Kenya and may the Kenya Sevens team win many more titles for our Nation,” read the post.
Photos accompanying the post could tell that the mood was escalated as one photos bears the President being carried high and taught how to play rugby.
