President William ruto has declared total war on those fueling the conflict in Sondu ,
Speaking in Kisumu as he kicked off his four day tour of the Nyanza region, the president sais he has instructed Interior Cs Kindiki to deal with the perpetrators
“I have already instructed interior Cabinet Secretary Kindiki Kithure to deal with the perpetrators of the Sondu conflict the same way the government has dealt with alshabaab militants and those fueling conflict in the north rift” The president declared.
The president further said that the government will not tolerate tribal conflicts in the country saying those who will be found culpable will face the full force of the law.

Transfer of all security chiefs
Interior Cs Kindiki yesterday ordered the transfer of all security chiefs at the troubled Sondu town along the Kisumu-Kericho common border in a radical move aimed at containing acts of criminality in the area.
There has also been a deployment of security personnel to contain the escalation of violent crime in Sondu Town and its environs.

Ruto’s Nyanza Tour

On his first day of the tour which witnessed the groundbreaking for the construction of the Kabonyo-Kanyagwal fisheries and aquaculture center of excellence, the president promised to transform the economic fortunes of the local community through targeted interventions.
The president will among others commission the lake basin mall, launch MV Uhuru 2, launch the upgrading of Bondo-Uyawi-Kibanga-Liunda road to bitumen standards, Mfangano Ring Road in Suba North, launch the construction of Ugenya level 4 hospital, Mutumbu digital lab in Gem, launch contrition of the Sindo-Karungu-Mbita road, tour victory Fish Farms in Sindo and initiate the rehabilitation of Piers in Homabay.
