Presidential aspirant Ambassador Esther Waringa on Monday submitted an official request to the IEBC seeking the extension of time frame within which a presidential candidate is expected to submit the name of his or her running mate.
Speaking to the members of the press the ambassador says that her request for the extension of more time is to avoid much pressure and avoid making hasty decisions that may give wrong results.
Waringa says that forming the government is a very important and serious process and the transition must be handled with care and given the necessary time, serious and sober consideration it deserves before any pronouncement to the public is made.
“I have interviewed several but am not contented yet that I have the right person.” She says.
She further states that due to the sensitivity of the Deputy President’s office, as a nation we must in future amend our laws to allow presidents to appoint their deputies after they haved assumed office.
