Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has now appealed to the new incoming Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok to pick a female deputy.

Ngilu who was speaking during the memorial service of the late Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso, urged Barchok to pick a female deputy governor who will help continue her legacy.

Laboso, Ngilu and Anne Waiguru are the pioneer female governors in Kenya.

Waiguru and Ngilu have mourned Laboso as powerful calm leader who was always full of wisdom.

Waiguru fondly mentioned Laboso as the lady who gave them advises and consoled them whenever they were trolled in the social media platforms.

“She would calm us down and tell us to rise above the social media trolls and focus on the bigger picture of serving the people,” said Waiguru.
