A businessman of Asian origin has been charged before Milimani law court for stealing a motor vehicle from a garage for spare parts.
The prosecution document produced before duty court revealed that on diverse dates between September 1st, 2019, and 30th September 2019, the accused person Gurprit Sigh Manku stole motor vehicle in the make of Toyota Prado.
At the time of disappearance, the alleged vehicle had a market value of ksh 3 million.
Manku,however denied the charge and was released on ksh 500k cash bail pending mention for pretrial.
The complainant intimated to Ghetto Radio scribe that the accused, Manku stole the vehicle and disassembled and sold its parts to spare parts dealers.
The case will be mentioned on 26th 2023.
Duped Director
In the same court the Director of Public Prosecutions deferred plea taking of a Kenyan national suspected to have swindled over Sh.400m from a Rwandese businessman.
Koome Kirimi was nabbed yesterday through a warrant of arrest after failing to appear in court and was arraigned today.
The state counsel submitted that he had received a letter from one of Koome’s lawyers requesting review of charges and applied the court to defer the plea to Tuesday 17th for further directions.

Lawyer Dunstan Omari who represents the Rwandese complainant, Desire Muhinyuza pleaded the court not to grant the suspect bail for fear that he might not attend court.
Omari argued that the accused has been on the run until he was arrested in his hideout
The court ordered that the accused be granted a cash bail of Sh500 thousand since the Director of Public Prosecution did not object to his release on bail.
