Private investors in the country have been striving to create jobs in support of the government’s agenda in job creation. In the spirit of job creation Optiven is set to create 30,000 jobs by the year 2030.
To achieve the dream the C.E.O for Optiven George Wachiuri while opening A GMC restaurant in Karen said that in the next 2 months 2 more GMC restaurants will be opened in Nairobi. According to Wachiuri the facility has been designed to cater for the family and work needs of the customers.
The GMC facility has been structured with worktops and conference rooms for the customers looking for a place to dine and work.
“With this particular facility we are targeting to create over 50 jobs and the reason why I came to GMC is that this facility is already in Kitengela we have GMC Kitengela a huge facility with a swimming pool and conference facilities and it’s high time that this brand GMC is right here in Karen.”

More GMC Restaurants to be Launched Across the Country
On the same breath a facility that caters for the children games and care is part of the restaurants as parents and guardians have their time in the restaurant.
In the next 2 months a GMC in Ruai Nairobi and another in the outskirts of Nairobi at Kantafu located in Machakos will be launched. According to George Wachiuri a bigger facility will be opened in Nanyuki. Wachiuri says that the dream is to have the restaurants across the country and other countries in Africa.
“It’s an encouragement to entrepreneurs out there that the Kenyan entrepreneurs can be able to develop their own brand and export it in the counties, across the borders.“
Mr. Wachiuri also challenged youths in the country to go out there and build social capital and build from the small they have as they continue to grow.
