Private, Mission Hospitals To Join Doctors Strike
The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists’ Union has threatened to shut down private and mission hospitals, which are still operating.
Speaking to journalists at the KNH grounds, KMPPDU Secretary-General Ouma Oluga says striking doctors are ready to resign since they were aware that the government was plotting to axe them.
Oluga reiterated that no amount of threats and intimidation by the government will make them call off the strike.
Oluga says dismissed warrants of arrest given to them yesterday saying they had not seen the orders nor the arrest warrants.
