Property of unknown value was on Sunday burnt down in Magororafani area , Sarang’ombe ward in Kibra constituency.

According to Erick Ochieng, a resident at the area says that the fire is suspected to have been caused by an electric fault that was not attended to in one of the houses.

More than six houses were burnt down in the fire.

No deaths have been reported though  there have been  reports of minor injuries  sustained by residents who were trying to put out the fire.

The fire was later contained and extinguished  by fire fighters from Nairobi County government  who arrived at the scene almost  immediately.

This comes  weeks after  another fire  raged Sarang’ombe  ward  burning down several houses.

The fire fighters found it impossible to navigate through poor roads in the area forcing residents to voluntarily demolish structures close to the road to pave way for the fire engine.
