Street protests have kicked off in major towns amid reports that at least 39 people have lost their lives since the onset of the anti-finnace bill protests.

Nairobi,Mombasa ,Kisumu, Nakuru ,Machakos,Kisii are among towns that have seen demonstrators take to the street on Tuesday morning.

The protestors have vowed to continue fighting for justice for their fallen soldiers who were allegedly killed by the police during the protests

Police Engage Protestors in Running Battles

In Nairobi ,along Waiyaki way protestors have for the better part of the afternoon engaged police officers in running battles  with a section of the road currently impassable

In other towns demonstrators who tried to block roads engaged police in running battles saying the fight will continue until their demands for better governance and better economy are addressed

Transports along Waiyaki was has been paralysed.

Additionally a section of Mombasa road was also paralysed as protestors barricaded the road at Mlolongo.

Protestors Arrested

A number of protestors in various townshave also been arrested .

Appearing on Ghetto Radio’s Morning Show LSK president Faith Odhiambo, shared some tips on the Do’s and Dont’s if one is arrested during demonstrations

She urged protestor to avoid carrying  anything that would. Be considered as a dangerous weapon .

Additionaly She urged protestors to be peaceful and avoid damaging or looting properties .

She further  urged protestors to walk in groups saying it’s safer that walking alone .

“Ukishikwa peke yako inaweza kuwa ngori so ni vizuri kutembea kwa vikundi” advised the LSK President

Further to that She encouraged protestors to ensure their phones are fully charged

” Beba simu na powerbank , go live especially ukishikwa na polisi ndio watu wajue ulishikiwa wapi na saa ngapi” advised the LSK President
