Youth PS Lillian Omollo is reported to have fainted on Tuesday night and rushed to the Nairobi Hospital.

Omollo and the other female suspects had been remanded at the Langata Women’s Prison.

Anti Corruption Court Magistrate Douglas Ogoti stated that he will rule on whether the 33 suspects be released on bail on Wednesday next week.

The suspects’ lawyers however argued that their clients did not pose any risk to witnesses in the ongoing NYS corruption case hence no need to deny them bail.

The male suspects who include National Youth Service (NYS) boss Richard Ndubai were remanded at the Industrial Area Police Station.

Before they were moved to remand, the court session had lasted more than 12 hours as the lawyers presented their case.

The magistrate adjourned the hearing at 1am and that is when Omollo and other suspects were moved.
