Disgraced R&B star R. Kelly has been hospitalized after a near-fatal overdose in prison.
According to reliable sources, Kelly suffered the overdose on June 13, 2025 after he woke up feeling dizzy and seeing black spots in his vision.

He tried crawling to the door and he fell unconscious and was placed in a gurney.
While in hospital, Kelly learnt that he had been given an overdose of his medication which required him to spend two days in hospital to treat.

Attorney Alleges Plot To Kill Him
Following the new development, his attorney alleged a plot to kill him while affirming that the “World’s Greatest” hitmaker has been on anxiety and sleep medication.
Recently, Kelly’s attorney filed a furlough seeking his release under certain conditions.
Additionally, his attorney asserted that after the filing prison authorities conspired and overdosed him with an aim of ending his life.
Subsequently, his attorney alleged that the plot to end his life has been ongoing for quite a while now stemming from when he had a swollen leg.
His attorney further stated that for months his client was taken in circles delaying his medication meant to cure him from his previous battle with blood clots.
At the beginning of this year, Kely was meant to undergo a scan to detect but clots, but prison authorities turned down his request stating that he was no longer required to receive blood thinners.
Following his recent admission in hospital, he was forcibly ejected from the hospital despite doctors advising against the move.
On the other hand, Kelly’s attorney is looking forward to a presidential pardon from Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, R. Kelly is serving a 30-year sentence after being found guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking charges in 2022.
Additionally, he was handed a 20-year jail sentence in 2023 on charges of child pornography and luring minors for sex.
