Collapsed Huruma building site was on Tuesday evening turned into a battled ground between CORD supporters and security officers manning the site.
It took intervention of the General Service Unit officers who teargassed the rowdy crowd who also engaged them with swift strong stones.
The tension shifted the attention from the rescue process to running battle between the public and security officers.
Two journalists and one National Youth Service officer were seriously stonned by CORD supporters during the dramatic incident.
Meanwhile CORD leader Raila Amollo Odinga together with other two principals were at the site to condole with the victims.
Raila who described the collapsed building as death corridor asked the government to move with speed in their investigations to ensure those responsible are brought to book.
