Rains pound Nairobi as Met Department faces Kenyans wrath

A section of Nairobi residents has criticised the Kenya Meteorological Department over what they term as giving out weather reports that are contrary from the actual weather patterns experienced in the region.

The Report which was released last Wednesday shows that there will be little rain, which will be poorly distributed across the country.

This is contrary to the rains that have been experienced across the country.

Heavy rains were experienced all across Nairobi county on Monday and Tuesday evening leaving residents of the county in shock over the misguided weather pattern updates by the Met Department.

Speaking to Ghetto radio one of the residents Steven Kivuitu says that is only God who can predict the weather and not people who sit in the office all day depending on instruments to predict the weather.

The report released revealed the situation is getting worse in 21 counties. They include Kitui, West Pokot, Baringo, Isiolo, Tana River, Laikipia, Samburu, Kilifi, Embu, Lamu and Nyeri. Others are Makueni, Taita Taveta, Kajiado, Kwale, Narok, Wajir, Turkana, Garissa and Mandera.
