The Naifest concert that went down at the Ngong Racecourse on 7th November has been a trending topic since.

Nigeria’s Reekado Banks who was meant to headline the event failed to perform raising eyebrows.

The event organizers earlier claimed that the singer was unable to perform because of the set curfew time.

The event allegedly drew too close to curfew hours forcing policemen to disperse revelers before the main act performed.

A close source has however spilled that Reekado Banks failed to perform at the NaiFest because he had not been paid.

According to a source who spoke to a local publication, Reekadoh failed to show up on stage because the management owed him 500K.

“Reekado did not perform at Naifest because he had not been paid his balance of Sh500K ($500). Organizers saying it was because of the curfew is a lie. He had not been paid, so he couldn’t perform,” said our source.

Earlier comedian Fred Omondi who was also the event’s MC said Reekado was unable to perform because the police ordered everyone to leave the venue.

This is what happened, by the time @Otilebrown performed it was past 7pm already and you know when @Iamazspan_kob and @Kaligraphjones take the stage its funeral, King is King. When Reekado was about to perform, few minutes past 9pm, we were notified to pack up since there was sale of alcohol too and the law is clear that by 9pm you close up and 10pm, curfew so we couldn’t do anything but I’m happy it happened.” He said
