In a letter seen by the Star, the Office of Registrar of Political Parties has confirmed the deregistration of Former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s allies from the Jubilee party.

The Registrar of Political Parties Anne Nderitu says the party followed due process in expelling Jeremiah Kioni as the Secretary General and David Murathe as the Vice Chairman.

“Following a review of the submitted documents, in line with PPA and party constitution, this office is satisfied that the party adhered to the due process,” writes Nderitu in a letter dated May 19.

“Accordingly, pursuant to section 34(da), of the PPA, the office has updated its records and the register of party members.”
