Matatu operators plying the Ongata Rongai route have expressed concerns over the constant harassment and extortion they are getting from the police.
Speaking during a meeting held yesterday at the Maasai Lodge the operators also lamented the poor state of roads that have constantly caused traffic jams.
Benson a driver from the Orokise Sacco told Ghetto Radio News that they most of the times forced to use longer routes to beat traffic jams.
According to Benson the longer routes are costly and dangerous and are making them not generate much revenue.
They also called upon their clients to bare with them and be patient till the problem is fixed.
They planned on talking to their head on the issue before the end of the week.
