Rugby sensation Billy Odhiambo has officially announced his retirement from Rugby.
He has made the announcement this morning on his X platform previously known as twitter as he celebrated his 30th birthday.
“As I mark my 30th birthday I’d also like to announce my retirement from Rugby. I thank you all for your support over the 11 years of my career and excited to see what the future holds,” he posted.

Taking to his X account Odhiambo expressed his deep gratitude to the Kenyan rugby fraternity and the fans who have supported him throughout his remarkable journey.

Billy has participated in an impressive 68 tournaments during his career. His incredible strength and skill on the field allowed him to score a remarkable total of 111 tries, cementing his status as one of Kenya’s rugby greats.
One of the highlights of Odhiambo’s career came two years ago when he became the fourth Kenyan player in history to reach the monumental milestone of 100 tries.
This historic moment was achieved during the Los Angeles Sevens in the United States when Kenya’s national rugby team, known as Shujaa, narrowly overcame favorites England with a score of 19-14.
