Russia 2018: Zambian striker’s home attacked after loss

A house belonging to the family of a Zambian striker was attacked by Vandals following Chipolopolo’s loss to the Super Eagles against Nigeria in a crucial 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

According to the Police Alex Ngonga’s home was attacked by thugs.

Arsenal striker Alex Iwobi delivered a second half sucker punch , with defeat ending any faint hopes for a debut world cup appearance for the Zambians. It was after the match that some assailants threw stones at the strikers family home.

Copper belt Police Commissioner says that a group of people emerged from a Toyota Land Cruiser and maliciously damaged the house. According to the police the group accused the player for missing scoring chances that crashed Zambia’s hope of qualifying to the games to be staged in Russia in 2018.
