It seems leaders are running out of patience in the ruling coalition Kenya Kwanza and the latest to condemn the government over rise in fuel prices is Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale also doubles up as Majority Leader in the Senate.
Speaking in Kakamega Khalwale has called on the immediate sacking of Trade cabinet secretary Moses Kuria his energy counterpart and government top economic advisor David Ndii.
According to Khalwale the officers have failed to advise the government properly on matters fuel prices and cost of living.
Khalwale vowed to not to back down saying the government is heading on a wrong direction.
“Ruto I want to tell you today in Kakamega kwamba mtu anaitwa waziri wa Trade Kuria ,Waziri wa Energy wote wafute kazi ..we were elected to represent the poor mafuta Iko juu watu wa bodaboda wanaumia,” Khalwale said.
Kuria Stinging Tongue
Meanwhile Trade and Investment Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has responded sharply to the government critics on fuel asking Kenyans to dig their own wells if at all it will help them tackle high fuel cost.
“Ukishinda asubuhi mpaka jioni , bei ya mafuta imeongezeka, si uchimbe kisima yako? Wale watu wa makelele kama wakona kisima, niko tayari kuchimba kesho,Watu wanaongea siku hizi juu ya kuteremsha bei ya maisha. Bei ya gharama ya maisha haiwezi kuteremshwa kwa maandamano. Wengine wanashinda kwa Twitter kutoka asubuhi mpaka jioni…si hio ni upumbavu?” Kuria said in Eldoret.
David Ndii Shocker
Meanwhile more drama continues in government with Ndii now distancing himself from the economic crisis that the government is in.Ndii has made it clear that he do not trust government himself.
“I don’t believe politicians, and I don’t trust the government. If you do either, you are a sucker.” Ndii warned Kenyans.
