A Post Election Violence victim today gave a heart wrenching story of how a bullet that lodged itself in her body when she was shot during the post election violence in 2008 has never been removed.

Pauline Okoth from Kibera Slums says she was shot by the police on her shoulder when violence erupted after the dispute elections and since then never been removed.

She says when she was taken to the Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment the doctors there just discharged her and never explained to her why they could not remove the bullet.

Okoth who has since moved to Kisumu says her husband was also shot dead by the same police during the violence.

She says she has tried to seek help from many government offices to no avail despite her life lacking stability after the incident.
